About

Working as a radio presenter and event host has been one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of my life. Every day, I get to connect with amazing people, share stories, and be part of moments that bring communities together. From the energy of a live radio show to the thrill of hosting events in front of a crowd, this job is full of highs that keep me passionate about what I do.

At the Bingo…

As a bingo caller, my primary role was to bring energy and enthusiasm to the game. Standing in front of a packed hall, I’d call out numbers, but it was about so much more than just the numbers. It was about the stories behind the faces in the crowd – regulars who shared their good luck charms, new players learning the ropes, and the excitement that filled the air every time someone shouted “Bingo!” The thrill of those moments made every shift worth it.

One of my favourite parts was getting to know the players. From hearing their personal stories to celebrating their wins, I found myself becoming part of a community. The atmosphere in the hall was infectious, and I loved fostering that sense of connection. Whether it was cracking jokes between games or cheering on a winner, I learned that bingo is more than just a game; it’s a social experience that brings people together.

Of course, there were challenges too! Managing the crowd, keeping track of the numbers, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly required a sharp focus and a good sense of humor. But those moments only added to the fun and kept me on my toes.

While my journey has taken me in different directions now, I’ll always cherish the time I spent as a bingo caller at Buzz Bingo. It taught me the value of community, connection, and the joy of bringing smiles to people’s faces. Here’s to all the memories made and the friends met along the way!

Radio: More than Just a Voice

Radio has always held a special place in my heart. As a presenter, I’m not just a voice in the background – I’m someone who gets to engage listeners, provide entertainment, and sometimes even be a part of their daily routines. It’s humbling to know that I can make someone’s morning commute a little brighter or help them unwind after a long day. Whether I’m spinning the latest tracks, hosting interviews, or sharing my thoughts on trending topics, it’s all about building that connection.

One of the best parts of radio is how spontaneous it can be. You never know what’s going to happen next! That element of surprise keeps me on my toes and makes every show feel like a new adventure.

As a radio station manager, I oversee the daily operations of the station, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. My role involves managing a talented team of presenters, producers, and technical staff. I handle programming decisions, ensuring our content resonates with our audience. Additionally, I strategize marketing efforts to grow our listener base and cultivate strong community relationships. Balancing the business side of radio with the artistic vision is both challenging and rewarding, as I work to create a vibrant platform that entertains and informs our listeners every day.

Hosting Events: Bringing Energy to the Stage

When I’m not behind the mic, you’ll find me on stage, hosting events of all kinds – from quiz nights to community festivals. Each event brings its own vibe, and my job is to bring energy, keep things running smoothly, and make sure everyone is having a great time.

Hosting events is all about reading the room. You’ve got to know when to hype up the crowd, when to bring a more relaxed tone, and how to handle any curveballs that come your way. There’s no better feeling than looking out at an audience and seeing smiles, excitement, and that contagious energy you get when people are really into it. That’s when I know I’ve done my job well!

The Challenges and Rewards

Of course, there are challenges. Sometimes things don’t go as planned – a technical glitch on air, or a sudden change in the event lineup. But I’ve learned that adaptability is key. Whether it’s switching gears on a live show or thinking fast on stage, these moments have taught me how to stay calm, think creatively, and keep the momentum going.

At the end of the day, it’s all worth it when I see how much people appreciate what I do. Whether it’s a listener calling in to say how much they enjoyed the show, or a client telling me their event was a success – those moments make all the hard work and late nights worthwhile.

Looking Ahead

I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day. Both radio presenting and event hosting have allowed me to grow as a professional and as a person. I’ve met so many incredible people, learned new skills, and have had some unforgettable experiences along the way.

As I look to the future, I’m excited about where this journey will take me next. There’s always something new to explore, and I can’t wait to keep sharing my voice, my passion, and my love for connecting with people – whether it’s on air or in front of a live audience.
