About

Hi there! I’m Rob Francis, and I have the pleasure of managing not one, but two fantastic local radio stations – Overton Radio and Andover Radio. With a passion for all things radio, I thrive on bringing communities together, crafting content, and ensuring our stations deliver the best in local entertainment and news.

When I’m not behind the scenes managing the stations, you’ll find me indulging in some of my other passions. I’m a big fan of retro computer games – there’s something special about those classic games that brings me back to simpler times. Whether it’s the thrill of a high-score chase or the nostalgia of pixelated adventures, you can bet I’m probably playing something from the golden age of gaming.

I’ve always been fascinated by the history of television presentation. There’s something truly special about how TV has evolved over the years, from the early days of black-and-white broadcasts to the high-definition, on-demand world we live in now. I find it fascinating to see how the art of presenting news, shows, and entertainment has changed – and how it mirrors broader cultural shifts. It’s an area I’m diving deeper into, learning about the milestones and icons that shaped the medium. I even run a website dedicated to this hobby.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, making memories and sharing experiences. Life is all about those moments, and I try to make the most of every one of them.

I’ve also recently started writing, and I’m excited to see where this creative journey takes me. It’s a new adventure that’s opening up different ways to express my thoughts and ideas, and I’m looking forward to improving my craft with every piece I write.

And lastly, I’ve got a bit of a creative streak in web design as well. I love designing and building websites, and I’ve got a few examples of my work featured here on the site. There’s something satisfying about creating a digital space that’s both functional and visually appealing.

So, whether I’m managing a radio station, exploring the history of TV, writing, designing websites, or just hanging out with loved ones, I’m always embracing new experiences. Thanks for visiting, and feel free to reach out if you want to chat about anything – radio, television, retro games, or anything else!
